Answers While Drilling is a tightly integrated and customizable set of services, tools and technologies developed by INTEQ to provide real-time answers and solutions across the full range of today’s exploration and development challenges. Answers While Drilling represents the full integration of drilling and FE capabilities to provide expert drilling and evaluation, experienced and well-trained field personnel, comprehensive geoscience and engineering support: a global capability that delivers answers as quickly as the questions arise.

Answers While Drilling capabilities

• Directional drilling. The capability to direct the wellbore along a predetermined trajectory virtually without limitations: vertical, horizontal, through radical changes in azimuth and inclination with unprecedented precision across virtually unlimited distances and through the most challenging drilling environments. The combination of INTEQ’s closed-loop, rotary steerable systems, unmatched penetration power of INTEQ high-performance drilling motors and automated directional drilling capabilities delivers unmatched drilling efficiency, reliability and speed.
  
  
• MWD—Measurement While Drilling. INTEQ provides the clearest view ever possible of the downhole drilling environment, measuring the trajectory of your wellbore with near absolute precision using the real-time positioning data collected directly at the BHA. This enables drilling personnel to proactively manage drilling for optimum efficiency and extended, often uninterrupted runs, while increasing BHA reliability, minimizing drill string damage and pushing rate of penetration to unprecedented heights—all with the efficiencies that come from automation.
  
  
• LWD—Logging While Drilling. An extensive range of advanced measurement sensors and tools, custom developed by INTEQ to perform reliably in the downhole environment. These sensor systems—including multiple sensors for resistivity, porosity, acoustic, formation pressure and more—provide multiple, real-time measurements in a single downhole, near-bit tool. INTEQ has pushed LWD technology to provide reliable log data and high-resolution downhole images at a quality often exceeding that of drill-then-log tools, but with the advantage of real-time data acquisition and the uninterrupted 360° view that comes from full rotation.
  
  
• Coring While Drilling. INTEQ’s CoreDrill^® systems let you drill and core alternately, for quick tool changes without having to trip the drill string, saving considerable rig time. CoreDrill systems supplement INTEQ’s full range of dedicated coring systems that deliver high-quality cores as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  
  
• Surface Logging Systems. At the surface, the answers come together. INTEQ provides the broadest spectrum of surface data monitoring, accessible from the field, the office or both, streaming in real time. INTEQ’s highly trained rig site and remote engineers and geologists call upon the array of Answers While Drilling sensors and hardware/software platforms to gather and immediately evaluate data for drilling efficiency and accuracy, geologic control, formation evaluation, gas control and wellsite safety. It’s the reliable data that quickly leads to informed, rapid decision-making.
  
  
• Data Communications. Real-time data requires real-time communications, worldwide. The data gathered and processed using INTEQ’s integrated surface acquisition system at the worksite is transmitted to clients and INTEQ personnel wherever it’s needed via INTEQ’s secure RigLink^® Web-based communications system. INTEQ uses the industry-standard WITSML^™ open communication platform to ensure consistent, compressed data communications throughout Web communications, satellite transmissions, fiber optic communications, remote database links or connecting wellsite networks to high-speed client networks.
